Marketing
The Middle School Marketing Program is a three-course sequence designed to introduce students to the foundational concepts of marketing and career exploration. Each course builds on the last, preparing students for more advanced high school marketing pathways and career clusters.
Grade-Level Course Sequence:
6th Grade – Basic Skills of Marketing
Students explore the basics of marketing, entrepreneurship, and career awareness.
7th Grade – Exploring Marketing Education
Students dive deeper into marketing principles, consumer behavior, and promotional strategies.
8th Grade – Pathways in Marketing
Students explore advanced marketing concepts and examine the High School Marketing and Hospitality/Tourism Cluster Pathways, which include:
o Marketing and Management
o Fashion Merchandising & Retail Management
o Marketing Communications & Promotion
o Sports & Entertainment Marketing
o Hospitality, Recreation & Tourism
Throughout all three courses, Standard 1: Employability Skills is taught and reinforced to help students build strong workplace habits and soft skills.
